I get my news three ways: I happen to come across it myself, I get it directly from Brom, or someone emails me about it. That last way is what you need to pay attention to, if you find anything worth mentioning (a con appearance, new artwork, etc.) please send me an email at: charney@cale.com
Hi, I'm the staff writer at Cinefex magazine, which covers film effects work. I'm doing a piece on Tarsem's THE CELL, and while doing so, Brom's name came up a couple times during interviews as an inspiration to the filmmakers. I was just hunting around trying to get a spelling on his name on the web when I came across your site -- one look at the album cover art on the site's first page and I could tell this guy had to be the same Brom referenced in the interviews. Anyway, just wanted to let you know about that -- I don't think there are any outright thefts of concepts, but the style seemed to have been a bit of an influence on the film's dream world designs. Our coverage is going to be appearing in the October (fall) issue of Cinefex, which will be on news stands in about seven weeks or so. Nice site!

"I just went to a Seattle comic book convention mainly because I heard that Brom was going to be there. He was. I didn't have the darkwerks book and was hoping he'd be selling it. So to make the story shorter, I bought a copy of the book which gave me an excuse to talk to him and have him sign it. The book was already signed on one page but he went on and signed it again and drew a little monster head as well. I have done some work with TSR and Wizards in the past and now work with Nintendo so I told him about it and he got very interested so we got in a conversation about the copyrights and art directors and corporate rules, etc. We exchanged the business cards and he told me that our ways might cross again and we might work on the same project in the future. I realized what a nice guy he is and was delighted and impressed to meet him. Oh yes he had two original paintings and two prints with him. I have all but one of the paintings before. And the one I haven't seen before was just awesome, signed in '98. It was a beautiful woman with a sword approximately a little bigger then 3x2 feet."
